A video digitiser is the ideal tool for capturing images from real life scenes to incorporate in to computer work. The expansion card, which is plugged inside the computer, allows direct connection to a range of video sources, such as video recorders, camcorders or still video cameras such as the Canon Ion.

The digitiser enables a live moving image to be seen on screen, in true 256 grey levels for smooth shading and clarity. These pictures can then be captured and incorporated into any suitable application, such as art or DTP packages. Unlike some other digitisers the captured image is displayed immediately.

Wild Vision has specialised in the video field for over eight years, and the GreyHawk is its latest addition to a line of quality video digitisers for the Acorn range. Its hardware has been combined in this package with Computer Concepts' ScanLight image-manipulation software.
